《지나가서 돌아오고 남겨진 감각의 하루들》에는 평범한 일일의 단편들로부터 시작된, 세 작가들의 각기 다른 이야기가 담겨있다. 그리고 그것들은 끝나지 않거나 처음으로 돌아간다. 직선이거나 혹은 동그라미다.
불현듯, 스치듯 지나가버리는 수많은 감각들 중 우리를 멈춰 세우고 끝없이 잡아당기기도 하는 것은 과연 어디쯤에 있는 무엇일까?
박유진은 감각의 현실 너머에 있는 세계를 꿈꾸지만, 동시에 현재라는 시간과 인간의 실존을 사유한다. 그가 만들어낸 초현실적 이미지에는 우리 삶에 직접적으로 맞닿아 있는 관계성이나 순리에 대한 고민이 담겨 있다.
오정민은 인간의 생리학적 변화, 보이지 않는 생체 세포의 반복되는 생성·소멸을 캔버스 위에 시각화한다. 몸 속 감각으로부터 출발하여 상상으로 이루어진 시공간에 도달하는 경로의 기록들은 멈춤과 나아감을 반복한다.
이다빈은 일상에서 우연히 얻게 되는 시지각 정보를 판타지의 요소로 재해석하고 바꾸어, 그것으로 이루어진 새로운 세상을 만들어 낸다. 그의 시선에 닿는 자연의 모양, 인간의 행동은 아주 사소한 것일지라도 특별하고 다채로운 서사의 한 장면으로 탈바꿈된다.
작가들은 ‘하루’로 대변되는 일상 속 조각들을 순환의 고리 안에 넣어 두었다. 사소한 경험으로부터 시작된 회화적 기록들은 감각의 세계를 이루는 재료이자 우리를 새로운 예술로 데리고 가는 매개체가 된다.
오늘, 나는, 어디에서, 무엇을, 어떻게 느낄까.
그리고 어느 지점에서 다시 돌아와 어떤 생각을 하게 될까.
우리가 겪는 이 순간 이후는 이전과 얼마나 다를까.
생각의 꼬리를 물고 이어지는 질문들은 어느새 우리를 다시 상상의 출발점으로 데려다 놓는다.

《Days of the Senses Left Behind after Passing and Returning》 contains the different stories of three artists, starting from fragments of ordinary daily life. And they either never end or go back to the beginning. It is either a straight line or a circle.
Among the countless senses that suddenly and fleetingly pass by, what is there that stops us and pulls us in endlessly?
Youjin Park dreams of a world beyond the reality of the senses, but at the same time, she thinks about the present time and human existence. The surreal images he created contain concerns about the relationships and natural order that are directly related to our lives.
Jungmin Oh visualizes human physiological changes and the repeated creation and extinction of invisible biological cells on canvas. The records of the path starting from the senses in the body and reaching the space and time made up of imagination repeat stopping and moving forward.
Dabeen Lee reinterprets and transforms visual and perceptual information obtained accidentally in everyday life into elements of fantasy, creating a new world made of it. The shapes of nature and human actions that come into contact with his gaze, even if they are very trivial, are transformed into a scene of a special and colorful narrative.
Artists placed pieces of daily life, represented by ‘a day’, into a cycle of circulation. Pictorial records that started from trivial experiences become materials that make up the world of senses and a medium that takes us to new art.
Today, where, what, and how do I feel?
And at what point will you come back and what will you think?
How different will the moment we experience be from before.
The questions that follow our thoughts lead us back to the starting point of our imagination.
