I remembered working on a red unidentified object that passed through the landscape a long time ago. Capturing moments so brief that they are unrecognizable and adding imagination – I collected memories of unrelated others. I explored the reality on the Han River bridge.

Curiosity is my fuel. And it wasn't long before I realized that curiosity was my joy. My previous works dealt with more personal stories, passing through bonds between humans, someone's death, complex conflict and appeasement. As I drew unique dreams that continued in the unconscious world, I probably thought of myself as special one.

I happened to see a documentary about mummies. The mummy in the video was found under mud and was lucky enough to maintain its shape. However, only his arms and chest remained, and his head and lower body were not visible. One can only guess his age based on his finger prints and skin condition. I thought about what kind of person he was and what kind of expression he had. The ensuing curiosity energized me. It is an experience of perspectives that move from an individual to another person, and further across space and time.

This exhibition focuses on my attitude toward the world. ‘Ignite the Moment’, igniting a fire in an instant and making it bloom big – I hope I can find the clue to the art I want to pursue.
